You don't need to be a professional animator, filmmaker, or experienced AI creator. Beginners are welcome!

Yes! You do not need a paid Bored2AI subscription to enter or win.

You may use Bored2AI or other AI creation tools to produce your entry. Any generation costs you choose to incur are separate from challenge participation.

Yes. Every participant must have a registered Bored2AI account.

Even if you create your videos using another AI platform, you still need a Bored2AI account to submit your entry.

The challenge is open worldwide, except where prohibited by law or where prizes cannot legally be paid.

Winners must also pass eligibility and payout verification.

The challenge includes a Best Regional Entry special award.

Registration and prize distribution mechanics have not yet been specified in the official rules. These details will need to be confirmed.

Create an original anime series containing at least 3 connected episodes.

Your episodes should follow the same story, characters, or fictional world.

For example:

• Episode 1: A student discovers a mysterious power.
• Episode 2: The student learns someone is hunting them.
• Episode 3: The student confronts the mysterious enemy.

These three episodes form one complete challenge entry.

Each episode must be at least 1 minute (60 seconds) long. Longer videos are welcome.

Example:

• Episode 1: 1 minute or more
• Episode 2: 1 minute or more
• Episode 3: 1 minute or more

That's 3 minutes total, which meets the minimum requirement.

An episode shorter than 60 seconds does not qualify, even if the total series duration reaches 3 minutes.

Yes!

You have two options:

Option A: Combine all 3 episodes into one video of at least 3 minutes.

Option B: Publish 3 separate videos, each at least 1 minute long.

Both are accepted. If you combine them, clearly label Episode 1, Episode 2, and Episode 3 within the video.

Yes! Three episodes is only the minimum.

You can create 4, 5, 6, or more connected episodes, provided they meet the challenge requirements.

Yes! There is no limit to the number of original series you can enter.

For example, you can submit a horror series, an action series, and a romance series as three separate entries.

However, one creator can win only one prize in total, regardless of how many entries they submit.

You cannot submit the same or substantially identical series more than once.

Any anime genre is welcome!

Examples include action, horror, romance, comedy, fantasy, science fiction, drama, mystery, and sports.

Your story must be original, anime-style, and compliant with the content rules.

No. Your entry must be your own original creation.

For example, you cannot create a new Naruto episode, use Dragon Ball characters, or recreate scenes from an existing anime.

You can take inspiration from anime styles and storytelling techniques, but you must create your own characters, world, and story.

Yes!

You can use Japanese, English, Filipino, Korean, or any other language, including fictional languages.

However, if your entry is not in English, it must include English subtitles or an English voice-over.

Your video must follow these requirements:

• File format: MP4 or MOV
• Maximum resolution: 4K
• Aspect ratio: 16:9 or 21:9
• Minimum duration: 60 seconds per episode

Vertical 9:16 videos are not listed as an accepted format in the official rules.

Yes!

You can create your entry using Bored2AI or other AI generation platforms.

Using another platform does not disqualify you from winning.

However, only qualifying Bored2AI-created entries receive the special 1.30× score bonus.

It's an additional 30% applied to your final score.

For example:

• Your original score: 80
• Bored2AI multiplier: 1.30×
• Your final score: 104

The maximum possible score is 130.

This bonus can help your entry rank higher, but it does not guarantee a prize.

You must create 100% of your AI-generated video clips using Bored2AI.

You can still use external editing software for cutting, transitions, subtitles, effects, and final assembly.

However, mixing AI-generated video clips from other platforms into your entry makes it ineligible for the bonus.

You can still participate and win without the multiplier.

Yes!

You can use external editing tools to:

• Combine your clips
• Add subtitles
• Add music and sound effects
• Adjust colors
• Add transitions and visual effects

Using editing software does not automatically remove your Bored2AI bonus eligibility.

AI-assisted planning, scripting, and brainstorming are not explicitly prohibited in the main rules.

However, your submitted story must be original. The brief also warns against generic, robotic, or copied AI-written captions.

Make sure your final creative work reflects your own ideas and direction.

Yes!

Keep your prompts, generation history, and project files for at least 12 months after submission.

Bored2AI may request these materials to verify your entry.

If you cannot provide them when requested, your entry may be disqualified.

Also, Bored2AI-generated files are deleted after 48 hours, so download your videos immediately.

Follow these steps:

Step 1: Create your original anime series with at least 3 connected episodes.

Step 2: Publish your entry on X by quote reposting the official Bored2AI 1 BTC Challenge post.

Step 3: Tag @Bored2AI and include #1BTChallengeEntry in your post.

Step 4: Copy the direct link to your X post.

Step 5: Visit the Bored2AI campaign page and submit your entry link.

If you created your entry on Bored2AI, use the platform's submission flow so it can associate the content with your account.

Made it on Bored2AI? Put your creation's link (bored2ai.com/p/…) in your X post, so your entry counts as made on Bored2AI.

Every episode post must:

For example, label your posts Episode 1, Episode 2, and Episode 3.

Once all episodes are posted, submit the Episode 1 X post link on the campaign page.

A public X post is required to qualify.

Simply uploading your video to Bored2AI without completing the required X posting mechanics is not sufficient.

Your X post must remain publicly accessible until the season closes.

Deleting or hiding your post may invalidate your entry and cancel any unpaid prize.

Your entry must be original work created within the challenge's official entry window.

Previously created series do not satisfy that requirement.

Every eligible entry is screened first. Selected entries then move to the shortlist for judging and community voting.

Your score is calculated using three components:

• 60% Jury Score: Storytelling, visuals, originality, and series potential.
• 25% Community Votes: Valid votes received on the Bored2AI campaign page.
• 15% X Reach and Engagement: How your X post performs.

Qualifying Bored2AI entries receive the additional 1.30× multiplier after scoring.

No!

Likes on X are not counted as community votes.

Community votes are collected directly on the Bored2AI campaign page.

However, your X post's reach and engagement contribute to the separate 15% social performance component.

Once your entry is shortlisted and available for voting, people can support it by liking your entry on the Bored2AI campaign page.

Voting accounts must be at least 24 hours old before their votes count.

Fake accounts, bots, and purchased votes are prohibited.

Your X performance can help your score through the 15% reach and engagement component.

However, X likes do not replace community votes on the Bored2AI campaign page, which account for 25% of the scoring.

Strong storytelling and visual quality also matter because the jury accounts for 60%.

The entry with the higher jury score ranks higher.

If both jury scores are also equal, the entry with the earlier X post ranks higher.

15 winners share a 1 BTC prize pool.

The prizes are divided into:

• 10 ranked winners
• 5 special award winners

The special awards are Best Character, Best Story, Best Regional Team, Audience Award, and Most Unhinged.

Each creator can receive only one prize in total.

Winners must complete identity and eligibility verification within 14 days of notification.

After successful verification, prizes are paid in BTC within 45 days.

Winners are responsible for applicable taxes and must provide valid payout details.

Your entry may be disqualified for:

• Using copyrighted characters or someone else's work without authorization
• Submitting prohibited sexual, graphic, hateful, or other restricted content
• Using identifiable real people's likenesses or voices
• Buying votes or manipulating engagement
• Using multiple accounts
• Submitting duplicate entries
• Deleting or hiding your required X post
• Refusing to provide verification materials

Late entries will not be scored.
